“Remember, YOUR “impossible” is just not possible, YET…”

Carley Schick, DPT is driven by her desire to empower people to live life their-way in comfort and confidence; participating fully in what they love doing with family, friends and community.

She says, “Each of us has choices in how we live our lives – active or inactive, connected or disconnected, giving or taking. Those choices determine our health, hope & happiness. I’m motived by the opportunity I have to influence people’s lives for the better by helping them make better choices toward well being.”

Carley grew up in Tyler, Texas in a very physically active family. Her athleticism and collegiate volleyball experiences contributed to her appreciation of the demands of high-level competition and the importance of authentic movement training and nutrition to injury prevention, performance optimization, resiliency and recovery.

After earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree, she pursued extensive advanced professional training and certifications in orthopedics, sports, pain, and nutrition. Her work experience has included both hospital inpatient and private practice outpatient experiences.

In 2019 Carley completed Fellowship Training with the Gray Institute; earning her world-class skills, the prestigious credential of Fellow in Applied Functional Science, and membership in an elite community of about 500 Specialists globally.

Carley joined the “Function Family” in 2016 and lives in Edmond, OK with her boyfriend Jacob and three rescue dogs.  She has adopted the autoimmune paleo lifestyle and became an Autoimmune Paleo Certified Coach to help guide others through lifestyle changes necessary to manage chronic illness and autoimmune disease.  Recreationally, she enjoys time with family and friends, exercise, cooking, outdoor activities, playing with her dogs and reading. Let’s Go Bucks!

She reminds us that, “Life is a beach – soak up all the sunshine, sand, surf, and satisfaction you can!’
