It’s a fact of life… things break and wear-out. So, do people. Bone, joint, disc, muscle, ligament, tendon, and nerve dysfunction is real.
Most people don’t need expensive tests, addictive medication, injections, or invasive surgery. But everyone benefits greatly from conservative care, active healing and functional restoration.
When surgery becomes necessary, functional training before and after surgery accelerates healing and recovery while optimizing outcomes.
There are two kinds of movement in life. Bad movement hurts and harms. Good movement helps and heals. Knowing the difference matters – we do and so should you.
Traditional pain treatment just focuses on the temporary relief of symptoms.
Our functional approach resolves the underlying cause of your specific pain condition.
Every athlete from young to old and novice to elite wants to bring more to their game.
They want to improve comfort, confidence, enjoyment, and competitive advantage. They want respect, recognition, and reward. They want to play better and win more!
Traditional sports performance training emphasizes better gear, skill practice, and generic fitness.
Functional sports training goes beyond the basics of flexibility, strength and endurance to actually build better athletes and athleticism.
To be happy, everyone needs 3 things – someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.
To be healthy, everyone needs a few more things – to stay safe, be active, and sleep well.
To live well, everyone needs a sustainability plan to age gracefully with energy, self-confidence, and self-reliance.

We Specialize in physical pain, impairment and activity limitation conditions.
Function Physical Therapy is my go to place when having any issues that are keeping me from running. Seaton and his team do an incredible job of finding my problems, getting me running again and giving me the tools to continue to improve my body’s motion to keep me healthy.
I spent a significant amount of time with Seaton and his staff at Function PT after my back surgery. Prior going to Function PT, I was somewhat hopeless as to ever getting back to my usual hobbies. However, with the help Seaton’s expertise, I am back to running and playing golf without any restrictions! The entire staff was always attentive, courteous, and highly professional. I would strongly recommend my friends and family to Function Physical Therapy.
I began seeing Seaton at Function after working with several other PTs and not seeing much change or progress. I was so pleasantly surprised that the therapists at Function take a very modern, dynamic approach to rehabilitation and balance restoration. I have since sent dozens of individuals to see Function Physical Therapy and they all have great things to say as well!
Seaton is a first class person and physical therapist. I routinely refer friends and colleagues to Seaton because I know he is going to deliver evidence based therapy that is specific to the individual’s needs.
The best way to thank a veteran for their service is to improve their quality of life . After combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq I sustained irreparable nerve damage and a significantly diminished mobility. I thought I would just have to live with those limitations and pain until I found Function Physical Therapy. Their dynamic assessment and evaluation approach allows him to develop a treatment plan based on my movements. I’ve tried other PT’s in the area with little improvement. I would refer Function Physical Therapy to anyone needing to get back into the swing of life.
